How climate changes agriculture in rural ACP countries? Voices from the field

At the European Development Days in Lisbon, DG Development of the European Commission, CTA, UNITAR, Euforic, and IIED organised a parallel event on the challenges of climate change for development with particular reference to agriculture and rural development in ACP countries.

The programme was organised around two sessions. Session 1 examined the ‘challenges of climate change for agricultural policy and some adaptation strategies’ and highlighted adaptation strategies in Nigeria, Mali and Malawi. Session 2 focussed on ‘increasing knowledge and sharing best practices’ and introduced some approaches and tools to enhance information flows and enlarge access to the knowledge base.
