Lesley White from the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) participated to the Brussels Development Briefing on Youth and Rural Development in ACP countries (16th June 2010). In her feedback she underlines the importance of information and communication technologies for the youth in developing countries. She was satisfied that this issue has been raised and commended the networking opportunities of the Brussels Development Briefings.
Peter Mwaura from the Young Professionals’ Platform for Agricultural Research (YPARD) participated in the Briefing on Youth and Rural Development in ACP countries as a speaker. He appreciated the interaction with a high level audience to promote the participation of the youth in agricultural research.
Antony Saina from the International Movement of Catholic Agricultural Rural Youth participated in the Briefing on Youth and Rural Development in ACP countries as a speaker. He came to share the success stories related to youth and rural development in Kenya. However, according to him the issue of youth and rural development has long been neglected by policy makers, therefore he found the topic of the Briefing pertinent.
